No War!

Some of you may have seen the big ‘No War!’  sign over the Berkeley Marina overpass on the I80 and that might be why you are visiting this website …If so that’s great.  So are you against military strikes and war in Syria? If you are why not speak out? It only takes a minute to speak your mind and it might make you feel good…

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is pretty eager for military strikes. She’s sent five letters in the last week to Democratic colleagues urging them to give the President military authorization to strike Syria.  Senators Boxer and Feinstein also currently support military authorization to strike Syria. Is that really how people in San Francisco and California feel?

House Minority Leader Pelosi: (415) 556-4862

Sen. Boxer: (510) 286-8537

Sen. Feinstein: (415) 393-0707

Obama: (202) 456-1111

Have another ‘representative’?  Call (202)224-3121  (DC switchboard that will connect you to any of your ‘reps’ in Congress)

If you have a ‘representative’ that is against military authorization, why not give them a thank you call?

Don’t think it will make a difference?  It already has.  Many ‘representatives’ are getting bombarded with calls and are planning to vote against the resolution.  The UK parliament voted down military support for the US by a vote of 285 to 272 and only a 13 vote margin!  The protestors and UK public were able to pressure Parliament and the same thing can happen here.

You don’t have to be a full-time activist, but every bit helps.
What have you done today to make you feel proud?
